Why We Never Use Piercing Guns
The Viper Pit is a needle-only piercing studio. Every piercing is performed using a new, sterile, single-use piercing needle.
This allows the piercer to work accurately and maintain proper control over the placement. All equipment and surfaces are prepared following strict hygiene procedures.
Careful and Even Placement
Before piercing, both ear lobes are examined, marked and measured using digital measuring equipment accurate to 0.1 mm.
You can inspect and approve the markings before the piercing begins. We will only continue once you are happy with the position.
Natural ears are rarely perfectly identical, so we combine accurate measurements with professional judgement to create the most visually balanced result.
What Happens During the Appointment?
1. Welcome and consultation
We explain the process, answer your questions and make sure your baby is comfortable before beginning.
2. Measuring and marking
Both ear lobes are carefully marked and digitally measured. You will be asked to approve the position.
3. Needle-only piercing
Each ear is pierced using a fresh, sterile, single-use needle before the starter jewellery is fitted.
4. Aftercare guidance
We show you how to care for the piercings at home. Your Tattoo Goo aftercare kit is included in the package.
5. Keepsake certificate
Your baby receives a special keepsake certificate to remember the occasion.
Before Your Appointment
Baby ear piercing is available from four months old. A parent or legal guardian must attend and complete the consent form.
We recommend:
- Feeding and changing your baby shortly before arriving
- Bringing their usual comfort item or favourite toy
- Rearranging the appointment if your baby is unwell
- Arriving a few minutes early
- Choosing clothing that does not need pulling tightly over the ears
If your baby becomes too distressed or the procedure cannot be completed safely, we will pause or rearrange the appointment. Your baby’s wellbeing always comes before rushing.
Baby Ear-Piercing Aftercare
You will receive full aftercare instructions during your appointment, along with a professional Tattoo Goo aftercare kit.
Keep the area clean and avoid unnecessarily touching, twisting or removing the starter jewellery during healing. Always wash your hands before carrying out aftercare.
