Infant ear piercing is a tradition in many families and cultures. Parents or legal guardians must be present during the appointment and complete a consent form before the piercing takes place.

The piercing itself takes only a second and usually feels like a quick pinch. Most babies may cry briefly but settle quickly once they are comforted by their parent.

Parents should clean the piercing twice a day using the professional aftercare products included in the Tattoo Goo aftercare kit. Our piercers will explain exactly how to care for the piercing before you leave the studio.

Earlobe piercings usually take around 6–8 weeks to heal when proper aftercare is followed. During this time the starter jewellery should remain in place to allow the piercing to settle correctly.
