Before your appointment

A little preparation makes the day easier. Here’s what to complete, what to bring and what to expect at The Viper Pit.

Your quick checklist

  • Check your appointment date, time and procedure.
  • Complete the correct consent form and wait for the thank-you message.
  • Bring valid photo ID and any documents requested by the studio.
  • Arrive clean, fed and on time. Do not arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Contact us before travelling if you are unwell, running late or need to discuss suitability.

1. Complete your consent form

Choose the form for your appointment. Read it carefully and tell us about relevant health information, medicines or allergies. You can ask to discuss this privately.

A receipt email confirms your form has arrived. It does not confirm a booking or approve the procedure. Your practitioner will review your answers and answer your questions before anything begins.

2. Bring the right ID

Tattoos are strictly 18+. Bring valid photo ID. The studio accepts passports, driving licences and PASS-accredited cards, as set out in our terms.

If you are exactly 18: the tattoo and piercing form requires a photo-ID upload. Show your photo, name and date of birth; cover document numbers and other details we do not need. Bring the original with you too. Do not send ID by email or social media.

Piercings: minimum ages depend on the piercing. For permitted clients under 18, a parent or legal guardian must attend with photo ID and any requested proof of relationship. Check with us before booking if unsure.

3. Get ready for your visit

Wear comfortable clothing that lets us reach the area being tattooed or pierced. Bring any references or design details already agreed with your artist.

Allow time to discuss the procedure, ask questions and check the design or jewellery and marked placement. Completing the online form does not replace this discussion.

Our usual guest limit is one person unless agreed in advance. For family appointments or additional support, contact us before your visit.

Bringing a baby or child?

The parent or legal guardian should complete the infant and child form and stay for the appointment.

Show parent or guardian ID at the studio. There is no ID upload on the infant and child form. Bring any relationship or guardianship documents we have requested.

Allow time for your child to settle and for us to explain the process and aftercare. We will only proceed when it is safe to do so and may stop if your child is too distressed. Contact us before travelling if your child is unwell or you need to discuss suitability.

Deposits, changes and running late

Most appointments require a deposit, deducted from the final price. Check the deposit and cancellation terms that apply when you book.

Our published terms allow one reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice. Late changes, missed appointments or arriving 15 minutes or more late may affect your appointment and deposit.

If you need to change your booking or are running late, call 0161 270 6375 as soon as possible. Read the full terms for the details.

Know where to find your aftercare

Your practitioner will explain the instructions for your procedure before you leave. Keep the correct guide handy and ask us if anything is unclear.
